Night By Night
Everybodies favourite electro-funk duo are back. Just in time, I was starting to miss them…
‘Night by Night‘ is exactly the sound we know, love and expect from Chromeo – but if it ain’t broke right?
The track was officially released by Green Label Sound on September 23rd and if you head over HERE you can get [...]

You Can Grind On Me
Best remix I’ve heard for this track so far. Solo manages to get rid of the mainstream chart feel and holds on to all the best elements. Perfect.
Thank you Benedikt.
Enjoy.

Debut 4: Ladyhawke
Ladyhawke – Ladyhawke (released 2008)
As a big fan of the eighties, it normally takes me a little while to warm any modern artist who has been so clearly inspired by the decade. So many get it so wrong and in our current decade where we are drowned with 80’s influenced clothing, movies (seriously, a remake [...]

Jokers with Baggy Bottoms
Jokers of the Scene have provided us with one of the biggest dance tunes in a long while, ‘Baggy Bottom Boys’…now just when you thought it had its day, they’ve re-released it, with a white hot video and a digital package of mighty fine remixes. The remixes come hand delivered by High Contrast, DZ, Rob [...]

Back In The House…
Not sure what to think of this one… Its not bad, but a little samey maybe? I’m sure it’ll grow on me…
Incase you’re finding the vocals familiar and you’re wondering who [[[Zuper Blahq]]] is…its Will.i.am of course.
Steve Aoki Feat.[[[Zuper Blahq]]] – I’m in the house.

Take me to the hospital
I haven’t really been feeling The Prodigy for a good few years and when I heard their latest album ‘Invaders Must Die‘ I couldn’t believe that it hadn’t been made in the 90’s…something about it felt oh so dated.
But then, something changed, I heard Adam F and Horx’s remix of latest single ‘Take Me To [...]

1000 Minutes Part Twenty One
I’m going to knock part twenty one out quite quickly today because I’ve chosen three songs that never leave my recently played list, making them easy choices. Here goes…
70. Simian Mobile Disco – I Believe [3:19] [time remaining 739:34] (Drop Io) (Alt Link YSI)
I fell in love with this track instantly – every single element [...]

Dirty Basement
Dirty Basement are a couple of guys from Glasgow who describe their sound as ‘face melting bendy basslines with cut up vocals, claps and monstrous beats’. I’d say they were pretty accurate with that description.
Their latest single ‘Get Messy‘ is available to buy on Beatport now. I highly recommend it.
To give you a little taster, [...]

Debut 3: Coming On Strong
Hot Chip – Coming on Strong (Released 2004)
Its probably fair to say that this album went unnoticed by the majority until they purchased ‘The Warning‘ (2006) and did a little backpedaling research. Those who did notice it generally gave it pretty mediocre to bad reviews assuming that Hot Chip would not be around for [...]
